Summer 2009

I've been so busy the past couple days! I finally finished the first draft of my Hairspray project and the head of the creative department told me that it was really coming along great. I made over 30 pages in the booklet so it was great to hear that all the hard work is paying off. It's going to be awesome when it's finished. We'll actually be binding it into a book publication so it's going to look extremely professional. I'm really anxious to see the final result. The layouts and everything should be done by this Friday so we can send it out and get it ready to be printed.

Also, all of us interns (there's seven of us total, including me) started working on our Phantom of the Opera final project. We haven't really dove into the physical project yet but we have managed to get everything organized together and figure out who will be doing what on the project. Since I'm the only art department intern, I'm responsible for all the design features and for some of the public relations work that needs to get done. Hopefully, it will all come together soon.

Beyond that, I've done some other busy work for shows such as Burn the Floor and Jersey Boys but, Hairspray has really occupied most of my time. I can't wait for the final product - it will be a great portfolio piece when it's complete.
