Did a lot of simple work the past few days but I've definitely been kept busy. I learned how to print and mount posters for presentations and I got to complete the Mary Poppins project I started the first day by myself. It's nice to already have some projects that I'm able to complete on my own. Also did some simple edits to flyers and ads for different shows. The next week will be devoted to working on a Hairspray publication. I'll be helping with the design and templates.
The intern leaders let the six interns go see the Phantom of the Opera yesterday. It was a lot of fun! I've already seen it before but it was kind of cool to be able to go see a show for free and realize that I actually work for the company that advertises it. We had really great seats too.

Today I got to independently work on ads for The Lion King which, will be ads for the back page of The New York Times eventually, once they get edited and approved by the creative directors. It was a lot of fun to work on an ad from the start. I was given all the elements that the ad needed and all the information for the ad but I got to edit and create it myself using those resources.
Next week seems like it will be very busy so hopefully I'll have a bigger explanation of what I'm going to be doing for the upcoming Hairspray project soon! I can't believe my first week went by so fast!
